One stops and stands in front of us, changing visage with a machine-speed cycle, showing eyes-nose-mouth and wrinkled brow of multiple mummies kept and seen at the British Museum. This sort of Egyptological hocus-pocus is just what you might expect from a turn of the century ghost trying to impress you with a bit of erudition, letting you know that it too has been to the Museum and been appropriately improved by the visit.
