A segment of the hive has been cut to reveal white grubs in their cells, and, of interest to us, a singlebee in birthing itself, pushing out of the close walls of it's regular cell. It doesn't have a name; instead, it has a time and direction, which will stick to it during its life in and out of the hive.
Fortunately, the Mesopotamian bees flourished, and quickly took root, in the empty hives of the dead bees.
