Modular, made for orientation and assembly in any sort of gravity, the beehive section (if we may speak of it as a feeling, sentient body) doesn't mind sitting sideways on the ground. though certainly those bees with property right at the box edge, and who usually shop across the crack at cells in the other box, might prefer to have the gap sealed.     I had gone someplace familiar, but I couldn't remember where.
