Young dead people of vague sex walk in a line along the top of a dune. Walking on the top of a wall buried in the sand, hand in hand so they can stay in step, not wander off course and end up buried under what lies on either side... i.e. quicksand.     The desert became the past. The dead marched across the sands to reach me.
