A cut piece of moving diorama, appearing out of darkness; the world written inside a box, seen from the inside by a hyperbolic eye. Such eyes can't see straight lines, corners, or right angles... just endless, inescapable curves.     That's because there was a cave the size of mid-town Manhattan hidden beneath the New Mexican desert.
