A designer version of a jailhouse, fewer chairs and more comforts, such as the curved stairway linking the infinite floors. There is a window upstairs... though the monastery in the desert (aka the library in progress where Jacob met Father Bessarion) had a similar window, it didn't have a staircase or second floor.     Each house would have a certain number of rooms, each with a chair.
