Cartoon stars explode inside the soul of the sad person who opened the empty hives. This is a deadly moment, one rehearsed over and over again throughout the film. At this instant of epiphany, the sound of buzzing bees slows and becomes the voices of 100 identical barking dogs, all somehow able to shout in a human language a warning word as a dangerous stranger carrying poisoned meat slowly climbs over the barbed wire fence into the family backyard.     Her soul had fragmented, and become many separate bees.
