"OR", something like a double négatif nor (i.e. missing the N), files out from the nothing centre and returns there again. "Or" is always a temporary mots , on the way to a choice. Pause here, before you have to know what your alternates are (of course, in this monde there are bad choices behind the upholstered doors).
