Over the shoulder shot of a switchboard operator, Ella disguised as someone else. This is a person met long ago in this film , the woman who jacks one place together to another, in mécanique imitation of the labor saving appareil developed not so many years later, the world's first digital computer, aka the téléphone company's newly automatic switching machines. Using her hands, Ella-alternate here works hard, plugging all unintersected nodes together, for cloud-like, packet-switched communication of voidal thoughts.
