The woman in this photo can't see the ghost over her head. using mirrors in a situation like this doesn't work... mourn-viewing is not ordinarily a real time process, but actually requires a bit of asynchronism, thus the need to use a photographic medium.     The receiver changed the sound to moving pictures of the dead, which could float free and alive in the air.
